Josh Pritchard

 

In the past seven years, I have trained and worked with several world champions, including Carl Frampton, Josh Taylor, George Groves, David Haye, Anto Cacace, Luke Campbell, Lawerence Okolie, Daniel Dubois, and Caroline Dubois. I have participated in 25 world title fights as well as numerous domestic and European title bouts. Additionally, I appeared in the documentary ‘Stable’, which covers the McGuigan gym and my journey.

After a successful amateur career, I obtained my professional boxing licence and joined the coaching team at McGuigan gym. I boxed professionally from 2015 – 2016, gaining invaluable training until my career ended abruptly due to concerning brain scan results. This prompted the start of my coaching career in 2016.

I aim to be recognised as one of the best boxing coaches globally. I will be at the gym on weekends, advising coaches on training fighters and creating challenging workouts to help everyday people train like professional athletes.

My diverse participants, aged 5 to 74, demonstrate that boxing and fitness are for everyone. Often referred to as the ‘best therapist’ in Fareham, I encourage people to express their emotions positively through boxing.

My aim is to positively impact as many people as I can through my sport, keep the next generation respectful and disciplined, and nourish new talent to compete in the amateur and professional ranks of boxing.

I want the gym to be a hub where people from all walks of life come together, encourage one another, and leave with a big smile on their faces after every session!
